This global organisation is a market leader in the supply of specialist mining equipment and services to the mining & resources industry throughout Australia and the Pacific Region. This new position has been created to support the Executive Group and Divisional General Manager within a small team environment.

 

Based in Brisbane and reporting to the National Business Manager your role encompasses a range of duties including reporting on financial aspects of the divisions commercial activity including budgeting, forecasting, sales and profitability analysis, ensuring process and systems improvements are maintained and liaising with regional management. You will also supervise a team of 5 sales administrators. 

 

Ideally, you are skilled in financial management, forecasting, budgeting etc. Experience working in either the mining/resources, engineering, mobile plant & equipment, construction or industrial sectors is preferred although candidates from other industries are also encouraged to apply. Experience in any of the following areas would be an advantage:

 

- Foreign currency hedging

- Exposure to SAP.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office

- CRM application experience

- Understanding of Sarbanes Oxley compliance

- Understanding of Trade Practice laws

- Experience in supervising staff

 

You are team oriented, can build relationships quickly and have good commercial acumen. Being a self starter you can think on your feet and enjoy working in a busy, dynamic environment. A degree in business accounting or commerce is desirable although a CPA or CA is not necessary.
