The client

Our client is an industry leader with offices all over Australia and head office based in Brisbane. Due to current expansion they are now seeking a hands on Financial Accountant to lead a team of six into the next phase.

The Role

This client is looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant to supervise a variety of financial duties to contribute to the smooth operation of the organisation.

Reporting to the General Manager, your duties will include:

Managing and mentoring a team of accounting staff

Improving of processes and procedures

Managing and preparing of tax compliance matters

Reporting requirements, balance sheet reconciliation and analyses of results

Consolidation of accounts

Preparation of statutory accounts

Assisting with various ad-hoc projects when required

The candidate

You will be CA/CPA qualified and have proven experience in a large/medium corporate environment with 5 years post qualified experience. Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and strong system skills and advanced Excel. Previous experience leading a team is also essential to this position.
